Win Predictions for Week 9 of College Football

Week 8 saw a couple of more undefeated teams (Coastal Carolina and Oklahoma State) bite the dust and playoff projections continue to develop as we head down the home stretch of the 2021 season. We went a mediocre 23-11 last week and are now 212-66 (76%) after eight weeks into the season. We hit the Lock of the Week to run our record to 6-2, but Wisconsin beat Purdue and our upset special went down, dropping our record to 7-3 in that category. Here are our win predictions in week 8 for the Top-25 and other interesting matchups. Keep in mind, these are straight up wins not involving the point spreads.

No.1 Georgia 31 Florida 14 The Bulldogs roll into Jacksonville and enjoy their tailgate cocktails better than Gator fans do.

No.3 Cincinnati 38 Tulane 24 They survive another week as they continue their quest for the playoffs.

No.4 Michigan 24 No.11 Michigan State 20 Michigan goes into Michigan State in the game of the week and stays unbeaten.

No.5 Ohio State 27 No.18 Penn State 17 The Buckeyes survive a tough game against the Nittany Lions.

No.6 Oklahoma 45 Texas Tech 31 Texas Tech goes up and down the field but the Sooners find a way to outscore them and remain unbeaten.

No.7 Iowa 21 Wisconsin 19 Somehow, the Hawkeyes pull this one out in Madison.

No.8 Notre Dame 37 North Carolina 23 The Irish run their record to 7-1 over the Tar Heels.

No.9 Oregon 34 Colorado 10 The Ducks whip up on the offensively challenged Buffaloes.

No.14 Auburn 38 No.10 Mississippi 35 A late field goal lifts Auburn to an exciting SEC win.
