Win Predictions For Week 8 in College Football

Week 7 saw a couple of more undefeated teams (Iowa and Kentucky) bite the dust and playoff projections begin to develop and we get close to the two-thirds point in the season that is flying by. We went 24-8 and are now 189-55 (77%) after seven weeks into the season. We split our two upset specials last week as Utah came through against Arizona State for us but Baylor showed they might be pretty good and beat BYU dropping us to 7-2 for the season in that category. Here are our win predictions in week 7 for the Top-25 and other interesting matchups. Keep in mind, these are straight up wins not involving the point spreads.

No.2 Alabama 45 Tennessee 21 The Tide got back on the winning track and continue against the improving Volunteers.

No.3 Cincinnati 34 Navy 10 The Bearcats struggle early in Annapolis.

No.4 Oklahoma 48 Kansas 14 Sooners never play well in Lawrence.

No.5 Ohio State 37 Indiana 17 The Buckeyes schedule is going to get harder after this one.

No.6 MIchigan 35 Northwestern 17 Next week is on the Wolverines mind as they sputter for awhile.

No.8 Notre Dame 31 USC 17 The Irish win over a team that has no identity.

No.9 Penn State 35 Illinois 10. The Nittany Lions win an easy one and it’s on to Columbus next week.

No.10 Oklahoma State 24 Iowa State 23 The Cowboys eke out another one over the favored Cyclones.

UCLA 31 No.11 Oregon 28 This would be my upset special but the Bruins are favored over No.11 Oregon. Go figure.

No.13 Mississippi 38 LSU 31 The Rebels win a close one over the Tigers.

No.16 NC State 28 Miami 24 The Wolfpack escape Florida with a win.

No.17 Coastal Carolina 31 Appalachian State 24 They win this one and have a good chance of going unbeaten.

No.18 SMU 48 Tulane 27 The Mustangs keep on rolling.

No.19 Texas A&M 37 South Carolina 10 Easy win for an improving bunch of Aggies.

No.20 Wake Forest 34 Army 21 Deacons remain unbeaten and on top of the ACC.

No.22 Pittsburgh 27 No.21 Clemson 21 The Panthers establish themselves as a threat in the ACC.

No.24 UTSA 35 Louisiana Tech 29 This one has upset written all over it but the Roadrunners escape with their unbeaten record.

AIr Force 24 No.25 San Diego State 21 This would be another upset special but Air Force is favored over a ranked team.
