Week 14 is Over in the NFL

After Week 14 in the NFC, Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Arizona are getting close to claiming the division titles. The race for the wild card spots are jumbled up and likely will go down to the last week. In the AFC, there are no clear cut leaders for the division crowns. Tennessee looks solid, but they have issues with the loss of Derrick Henry. Stay tuned as we enter the home stretch. Here’s how the divisions stack up.

  • NFC EAST: Combined Record 25-27
  • Dallas 9-4: The Cowboys went into the nation’s capital and took care of business to virtually lock up the division.
  • Washington 6-7 : They made a stirring comeback against Dallas but it was too little too late. They are still in the playoff hunt.
  • Philadelphia 6-7: The Eagles had a bye last week and have a chance to make the playoffs.
  • New York Giants 4-9: The Giants were blown out against the Chargers. They will try and play spoiler down the stretch.
  • NFC NORTH: Combined Record 21-30-1
  • Green Bay: 10-3 They stayed in the hunt for the best record in the NFC.
  • Minnesota: 6-7 The Vikings bounced back with a win over the Steelers to stay in the wild card hunt.
  • Chicago: 4-9 The Bears score 30 in Green Bay and still manage to lose by 15.
  • Detroit: 1-11-1 Back to losing for the Lions.
  • NFC SOUTH: Combined Record 27-25
  • Tampa Bay 10-3: The Buccaneers blew a big lead against Buffalo, but came back and won in overtime.
  • New Orleans 6-7: The Saints broke a 5-game losing streak and stay in the hunt for a wild card spot. Since then, they are 0-5.
  • Atlanta 6-7: They beat Carolina and still are alive in the wild-card chase.
  • Carolina 5-8: Remember when this team was 3-0. That was a long time ago.
  • NFC WEST: Combined Record 31-21
  • Arizona 10-3: The Cardinals could of locked up the division but lost at home to the 2nd place Rams. Their inability to win at home is worrisome.
  • Los Angeles 9-4: After a mid-season slump, they appear to be ready for the stretch run. They are taking dead aim at the NFC West title.
  • San Francisco 7-6: The 49ers got a gutsy win over the Bengals and stay in a good position for a wild card.
  • Seattle 5-8: At 5-8, the Seahawks somehow, still have a chance at a wild card slot. They have to win out, starting this week in LA.
  • AFC EAST: Combined Record 25-27
  • New England 9-4: The have a two game lead in the AFC East after starting the season 2-4.
  • Buffalo 7-6: The Bills showed a ton of heart in their comeback against Tampa Bay. But, it still was a loss, and at the moment they are out of the playoffs.
  • Miami 6-7: Five in a row for the Dolphins they try to make it six after their bye week.
  • New York Jets 3-10: The Jets got thumped by the Saints who broke a 5-game losing streak.
  • AFC NORTH: Combined Record 28-23-1
  • Baltimore 8-5: The Ravens lost their 2nd in a row but remain in first because the Bengals keep losing.
  • Cincinnati 7-6: The Bengals blew a chance to move into a tie for the division, for the 2nd week in a row.
  • Cleveland 7-6: Don’t bury the Browns just yet. They beat the Ravens is a must-win game.
  • Pittsburgh 6-6-1: The Steelers are hanging by a thread but are still alive, barely.
  • AFC SOUTH: Combined Record 20-32
  • Tennessee 9-4: The Titans extended their division lead to two games with a win over hapless Jacksonville.
  • Indianapolis 7-6: The Colts are coming off a bye week with their eyes on a wild card spot.
  • Houston 2-11: The Texans are just going through the motions.
  • Jacksonville 2-11: See the team above.
  • AFC WEST: Combined Record 30-22
  • Kansas City 9-4: Six in a row for the surging Chiefs and they are suddenly in the hunt for the No.1 seed in the AFC.
  • LA Chargers 8-5: Two wins in a row for the Chargers and they have Kansas City at Los Angeles on Thursday night.
  • Denver 7-6: The Broncos beat up on the hapless Lions to stay in a wild card spot.
  • Las Vegas 6-7: The Raiders pretty much sealed their fate with an embarrassing loss to the Chiefs
