Somo’s Six Pack: Week 7 NFL and College Football Picks

Week 6 got us back on track with a 3-3 record bringing the overall record to 20-14 for the year.  It was nice to get the parlay home to make it a plus weekend and, if you waited til Sunday to bet, hopefully you got 30.5 on the Chiefs total and went 4-2! On the honorable mentions we are rocking a 15-5 record for the year!  Let’s get it this week and rack up some W’s!

Navy vs Cincinnati (-27.5)

While it’s never fun to lay almost 4 touchdowns, this is one of those match ups that is just too good to pass up for me.  Navy is an option team, something that the Bearcats should be able to defend with their stout defense and the Navy D isn’t slightly worse then bad.  Additionally, if Cincinnati get’s up early then watch out!  Navy’s starting QB is currently sporting a 17.8 QBR.  Not good.  Lay the points.

The Bet – $110 to win $100 – Cincinnati -27.5

Syracuse vs Va Tech (-3.5)

Both teams come off prime time games vs solid teams.  Virginia Tech gets this one at home and when you combine that with their D, they are the side that should prevail.  Syracuse has had trouble all year moving the football through the air, the Hokies will key in on that and shut down the Orange run game.  This is a classic get right game for Va Tech and they should roll.

The Bet – $110 to win $100 – Va Tech -3.5

Packers -8 / Patriots -7

Let’s tease it up with two teams I just don’t see losing here.  New England already covered this numbers on the road vs the Jets and shouldn’t have an issue shutting down the Zach Wilson and co.  The Packers take on a Washington team this is surrounded by turmoil and banged up.  That’s not a great combo.  The Packers are going to score at will, and while they may give up a couple points as well, they should not lose this game.

The Bet – $120 to win $100 – Packers -1.5 / Pats -1

Texans vs Cardinals (-17.5)

That’s a whole lot of points.  The Cardinals are coming into this game on cloud nine, undefeated and rolling.  It’s going to be tough to get this team up for this game and even if they do, they won’t push the peddle to the metal in the 2^nd half to keep Kyler healthy.  Take the points and makes sure to watch less then 18 seconds of this game.

Colts vs 49ers (-4)

The 49ers are still banged up and the Colts can move the ball as Carson Wentz keeps getting healthier.  I’m not going to fully trust Indy and take the points, but I do expect they will be able to get thiers.  With a 44 team total and Indy listed as the dog, we are able to get a solid team total on Indy.

Atlanta (-2.5) vs Miami

Well, in a season of wonderful decision making, the Dolphins deferred their bye to later in the season which mean that my Dolphins will only be the 2^nd team ever to play the week after playing in London.  For a team that’s already a mess, that isn’t going to help.  If we can laying anything to less then a FG then let’s take it.
