Free Picks: Sunday NBA Best Bets and Moneyline Picks For 1/9/22

The Grizzlies came through yesterday and won their eighth straight over the Clippers as we nailed the Best Bet of the Day. That evened our record to 5-5 on out best NBA bets for the week. Yesterday was out first day of betting the Moneyline and we were a disappointing 3-3. Today we have a full slate of games so let’s see what we can find to wager on.

*PAPA DUDE BEST BET OF THE DAY*: New Orleans 14-25 vs. Toronto 19-17 (-8.5): The Raptors have won five in a row and are healthy coming into this one. They have won at Milwaukee and dominated Utah in their last two outings. The Pelicans are coming off an impressive win over Golden State and are improving everyday after a horrible start. I’m a little worried about a Toronto letdown, and the line is a somewhat out of my comfort zone, but the Raptors should cover. Toronto 118 New Orleans 105

PAPA DUDES PICK: Toronto -8.5

Moneyline Bets:

San Antonio 15-23 at Brooklyn 24-13 (-11): The Nets are in a funk and have lost 4 out of the last 5. Brooklyn 115 San Antonio 105

Atlanta 17-21 (-5) at LA Clippers 19-20 : The Hawks are so bad on defense that it is hard to bet them. Clippers 118 Atlanta 114

Washington 19-20 (-7.5) at Orlando 7-33 : Wizards get a much needed win. Washington 121 Orlando 110

Minnesota 19-20 (-7.5) at Houston 11-29 : Wolves are playing well but the Rockets are dangerous at home. Minnesota 120 Houston 115

Denver 19-18 (-7) at Oklahoma City 13-25: The Nuggets are at full strength and get a win over OKC. Denver 125 Oklahoma City 110

Chicago 26-10 (-3.5) at Dallas 21-18: Both teams are playing well but the Mavs have some players out. Chicago 127 Dallas 115

Cleveland 22-17 at Golden State 29-9 (-9.5): It appears the Warriors are healthy and Klay Thompson returns. Warriors 125 Cleveland 115

Sacramento 16-25 (-1.5) at Portland 14-24: Tempted to pick the Blazers, but they have too many injuries. Sacramento 116 Portland 109

Memphis 27-14 at LA Lakers 21-19 (-3): Probably the best game of the day. Grizzlies have won 8 straight and the Lakers are playing much better. They are a slight favorite only because of who they are. Memphis is due to lose but, proceed with caution. Lakers 117 Memphis 113
