Free Picks: NCAA College Basketball Best Bets and Moneyline Picks 1/11/22

We are coming off another good day and went 4-0 on the Moneyline to run our record to 22-4 in that category. The only blemish on the night was Oregon winning over Oregon State, but failing to cover, and our Best Best of the Day narrowly failed to come in. That drops us to 9-3 in Best Bets. The schedule has been light the last two days, but there are a ton of games tonight and this will be a great night of betting. Let’s get after it.

Papa Dudes Best Bets for College Basketball Today

South Carolina Gamecocks (10-4) at No.22 Tennessee Volunteers (10-4) (-15.5): The Volunteers are struggling and had a mediocre week barely winning at home against an average Ole Miss team and then losing on the road at LSU which certainly isn’t a bad loss. Meanwhile, South Carolina went to Vanderbilt and upset the Commodores and showed some toughness. I think Tennessee will win but 15.5-points seem like a bunch for them to cover.

PAPA DUDES BEST BET: South Carolina +15.5

Mississippi (9-5) at Texas A&M (13-2) (-4.5): Once in awhile a spread jumps out at you and hits you right in the face. This looks too good to be true. I don’t see any COVID problems or injuries, so is this a sucker point spread? Ole Miss isn’t awful and they are 1-1 in the SEC, but it is tough to win in College Station when the Aggies have a good team. They are 13-2 and have played a schedule that includes wins over Butler, Notre Dame, and Arkansas. I can’t pass this one up.

PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Texas A&M -4.5

Oklahoma State (8-5) at West Virginia (12-2) (-2.5): This is another line that jumped out at me. I have to bet it. Morgantown is a tough place to play for anybody. Oklahoma State is not bad, by any means, but they have struggled to score and West Virginia plays suffocating defense. The Mountaineers are coming off a mediocre performance against K-State, which they managed to win, and the Cowboys thumped Texas in Stillwater. I like the spread for West Virginia.

PAPA DUDES BEST BET: West Virginia -2.5

Money Line and Score Projections for the Rest of the College Basketball Slate

No.5 USC (-6) (13-0) at Stanford (8-4): This is always a tough place to play especially when you are unbeaten. – THE PICK: USC 72 Stanford 71

No.19 Texas Tech 12-3 at No.1 Baylor 14-0 (-12): That line seems a little high. – THE PICK: Baylor 75 Texas Tech 66

St. Louis 10-4 at Dayton 9-6 (-3): Good matchup in the A-10. Tough to win at Dayton. – THE PICK: Dayton 77 Billikens 68

DePaul 9-5 at Marquette 10-6 (-6.5): The Golden Eagles have pounded their last two opponents. – THE PICK: Marquette 85 DePaul 79

No.8 Kentucky 12-3 (-8) at Vanderbilt 9-5: This will be a tough game for the Wildcats. – THE PICK: Kentucky 75 Vandy 69

No.15 Iowa State 12-2 at No.9 Kansas 12-2 (-13): I almost picked this as a best bet. KU wins but doesn’t cover. – THE PICK: KU 74 Iowa State 67

Miami 13-3 at Florida State 8-5 (-6.5): When is Miami going to get some respect? They just won at Duke. – THE PICK: Miami 74 Florida State 71

Oklahoma 12-3 at No.21 Texas (-6.5): I really want to pick my Sooners, but I can’t. – THE PICK: Texas 66 Oklahoma 60

No.25 Illinois 11-3 (12.5) at Nebraska 6-10: That’s a big line to cover on the road, but Nebraska is bad. – THE PICK: Illinois 85 Nebraska 67

Pittsburgh 6-9 at Syracuse 7-8 (-10): The Orangemen have been painfully close to winning and get one tonight. – THE PICK: Syracuse 77 Pittsburgh 70
