Free Picks: NBA Best Bets and Money Line Selections for 1/18/22

There were 12 games yesterday in the NBA and that is a nervous betting day to sit through. This league is so balanced and difficult to predict and when you have to decide the outcome of 12 battles it can be exasperating. A case in point would be our first Best Bet between the red-hot 76ers and the average Wizards. The Sixers were coming off of a big win in Miami and were moving up the ladder in the Eastern Conference playoff standings. The Wizards were coming off a bad home loss to Portland. Logic would say Philly was a solid pick at -3.5 to cover. But it was never a game as the Wizards won easy. However, the Clippers came through at home and held off the Pacers allowing our second Best Bet to cash. The split of those two kept our Best Bet of the Day record just below the .500 mark at 11-12. We made some coins, betting the Money Line as we went 8-4 and that improved our record to a respectable 46-29. Today there are only 2 games on the schedule and we can use a little break after yesterday. Let’s look at the two games and see if either one is a Best Bet.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for the NBA Today

There is NO Best Bet on today’s schedule. A wise, disciplined gambler fights back the urge to bet when there is nothing available to take a chance on. There are only two games today and neither won of them jump out at me. One of them is a toss-up game between two unpredictable teams, and the other involves a 14.5-point spread which is too rich for my blood. So, we will focus on the Money Line today.
