The Cardinal come into this game off of a 4-2 season and they have 13 starters returning in 2021. As of Monday there was no decision made on who the quarterback will be so that is a concern. But, if they get good play at that position, they are solid everywhere else. Defensively, they are experienced and have a lot of quality players and should be very solid on that side of the ball. Kansas State has solid coaching and an offense that includes a seasoned quarterback in Skylar Thompson and a dynamic running back in Deuce Vaughn who can make plays. They have problems on defense as they have to replace 8 starters and that might be the difference in the game.

North Carolina at Virginia Tech

The Tar Heels are highly ranked and have a great quarterback returning in Sam Howell but they lost 2 running backs and 2 wide receivers to the NFL and that will be hard to replace and their defense was very suspect in 2020 as they got involved in some shootouts and that is an issue that needs to be corrected. Blacksburg, Virginia is a tough place to play and the Hokies are going to be ready for this one. They are always a handful and if they can get their offense going better and get the defense back to Virginia Tech standards they can spring an upset.
