This is a game between the new kids on the block (Wake Forest) and the king of the conference (Clemson). Believe it or not, Clemson still has a chance to win the Atlantic division, if Wake loses this game and next week at Boston College. On the other hand, if the Deacons win this one they clinch the division and will play for the ACC championship in two weeks. Let’s see what is the best betting angle.

Wake Forest 24.5 Total Team Points The Demon Deacons have scored more than 25 points in all ten games they have played. I know they are encountering the best defensive team they have faced so far. However last week they played NC State, which had been holding opponents to 16 points per game, and they scored 45 in their victory. I’ll go with Wake Forest OVER 24.5 total team points.

OVER/UNDER: 56.5 Combined Team Points This is line is low for a Wake Forest game. They are averaging 45 points per game and scored 45 last week against a good NC State defense. Obviously, the line is being affected by the Clemson defense and how good everyone thinks they are. They are allowing only 15 points a contest, but they have allowed 28 against NC State, 27 at Pittsburgh, 20 against Florida State, and 24 at Louisville. Arguably, Wake Forest will have the best defense the Tigers have faced. The other factor is the Clemson offense, which is playing much better of late. I like the OVER 56.5 combined team points.
