The Eagles are one of the surprise teams of the league. They have won three straight, 6 of their last 8, and they control their own destiny for a wild-card spot in the NFC. Win the last two and they are in. They are going up against a Washington team that was hit hard by COVID last week and were embarrassed last week in Dallas. Have they thrown in the towel or will they bounce back and play with pride against a Philly team that they can beat.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Philadelphia: 24 Total Team Points Quarterback, Jalen Hurts has had a MVP type year, but no one is talking about it. He has thrown for 2,930 yards and rushed for 740 more. He has accounted for 26 touchdowns and has shown the toughness that this team is all about. The Eagles are rushing for 163 yards per game and they will try and pound it against the Football Team, who have been stingy against the run. Hurts will have to make some plays in the passing game if the Eagles are going to win. I’ll take the Eagles UNDER 24. team points

Washington: 20.5 Total Team Points Quarterback Taylor Heinicke was ineffective last week in Dallas but so was everyone else. He has had a solid season and he will probably bounce back from last week’s disaster. He didn’t play when the two teams met a couple of weeks ago and look for him to give the Eagles some trouble. Philadelphia has played very well on defense and in the last 8 games, they have only given up 21 points twice. I’ll take Washington UNDER 20.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER: 44.5 Combined Team Points I took the under for both teams so I’ll take UNDER 44.5 combined points.

POINT SPREAD: Philadelphia is a 3.5-point favorite. The Dudes are split on this game and there are arguments for both sides. It is a must win for the Eagles and a game where the pressure of the moment might be too much for them. You have to think they will be emotionally ready to play. On the other hand, Washington was worse than bad last week, and will be looking to bounce back and show the league they are better than that performance. They are pressure free and they might relish the role of spoiler.
