Free Pick: New England 8-4 at Buffalo 7-4 12/6/21

This is the best Monday night game, arguably for the entire season. It’s a battle for the AFC East lead, and maybe for the No.1 overall seed in the AFC. The Patriots have won six in a row and have been on fire during that span. The Bills have gone 3-3 during that stretch, but are coming off a 31-6 drubbing of the Saints in New Orleans, on Thanksgiving night. This should be a great game. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking.

TOTAL TEAM TOTALS:

New England: Total Team Points 20 The Patriots are averaging 28 points per game and rookie quarterback, Mac Jones is improving and playing at a high level. They are going up against a Buffalo defense, that is giving up 17 points and only 276 total yards of offense for the season. However, it is hard for me to bet against New England and that low point total. I will take the OVER on New England scoring 20 team points.

Buffalo: 21.5 Total Team Points The Bills are averaging 30 points per game and 389 yards of total offense. They are led by quarterback, Josh Allen, who is capable of putting up big numbers. The New England defense has been very good of late and are +12 in the turnover ratio with a secondary that has come up with 19 interceptions. During this winning streak, the most points they have given up is 24 to the Chargers. However, they haven’t played an offense as good as Buffalo. I’ll take Buffalo OVER 21.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER 41 Combined Team Point Totals: Both teams have really good defenses but I took the over on both teams point totals and I have a feeling this could be 24-21 or something in that range. I would take the OVER.

POINT SPREAD: Buffalo is a 3-point favorite The Bills are favored because they are at home. But, the Patriots are 5-0 on the road for the season. A Bill Belichick team, won’t be bothered by playing a tough game on the road. I think the game could go either way, and just playing the law of averages would suggest,Buffalo will win. But I’m not betting the spread.
