NFL Free Pick: Miami 7-7 at New Orleans 7-7 12/27/21 December 26, 2021 Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports NFL Free Pick: Miami 7-7 at New Orleans 7-7 12/27/21 December 26, 2021 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article This is a key game with playoff implications for both teams. Miami has won six in a row and has recovered from a miserable 1-7 start. They need to win their last three games to improve their chances at an AFC wild card spot. Meanwhile, the Saints have won two straight, including last week’s 9-0 shutout over Tampa Bay. They are tied with Philadelphia and Minnesota for that final wild card in the NFC, and with a win, would move into a tie with the 49ers. Now, the bad news. They have been hit hard by COVID and the injury bug and that could be a big factor in his game. This should be a good Monday night contest.TOTAL TEAM TOTALS:Miami: Total Team Points 19.5 The Dolphins are averaging 20 points and 315 total yards per game which isn’t very imposing to their opponents. But during their winning streak, they have been improving week by week. With the issues the Saints have at quarterback, they might not have to be very potent in this game. Tua Tagovailoa completed 69% of his passes and he might be the key to the game for the Miami. The New Orleans defense was outstanding last week and will need a comparable effort in this one. I will take Miami UNDER 19.5 team points.New Orleans: 17.5 Total Team Points The Saints are averaging 22 points and Miami’s defense is allowing 22 points per game, and under normal conditions this total would be too low. But New Orleans will be going with Ian Book, who will be their 4th different starting quarterback this season. He is a rookie from Notre Dame and he has been in pressure situations, but this might be asking too much. I’ll take New Orleans OVER 17.5 team points.OVER/UNDER 37.5 Combined Team Point Totals: This should be low-scoring and the defenses should control the game. I’m staying away from this line. POINT SPREAD: Miami is a 3-point favorite With the COVID situation affecting both teams (especially New Orleans), it is probably wise to skip this game. There are just too many unknowns. Having said that, I have a feeling the Saints are going to figure out a way to score enough to win this game.Dude’s Who Bet Sports Pick: New Orleans +3:
