Free Pick: LA Rams 11-4 at Baltimore 8-7 1/2/22

The Rams have been playing as well as anyone the past three weeks, and they are making their second straight week across the country. They are closing in on the NFC West division title and clinch with a win this week. The Ravens are very close to being eliminated from the playoffs and cannot afford a loss. They have lost 4 straight games and are hampered with injuries and COVID issues. It is hard to see how they can muster enough to win this game.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Baltimore: 20.5 Total Team Points The Ravens are scoring 24 points per game but they have failed to score 21 points in six of their 15 games. As of this writing, it is still questionable if Lamar Jackson is going to be able to play. Backup, Tyler Huntley returns from the COVID list on Thursday and he should be available to play this week which will help. The Rams are playing well on defense and it is going to be a test for Baltimore. I’m taking Baltimore UNDER 20.5 Total Team Points

Los Angeles: 24.5 Total Team Points The Rams’ offense is scoring 28 points per game and Matthew Stafford has thrown for 4,339 yards and 36 touchdowns. Wideout, Cooper Kupp, is having one of the best seasons ever with 132 catches for 1,734 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Ravens defense has been strong against the run but the secondary has given up 281 yards per game through the air. That doesn’t shake out to well for Baltimore. I like Los Angeles OVER 24.5 points.

OVER/UNDER 46.5 Total Combined Team Points This line doesn’t do much for me and I can see it going either way. I’m staying away from betting this line.

POINT SPREAD: Los Angeles is a 3.5-point favorite The Rams are favored and rightfully so. They have won three in a row and are taking dead aim at the NFC West division. But, there is a chance they might have a letdown after three hard fought wins and their 2nd straight trip across the country. It’s a must win for Baltimore and they are making their last stand. Are they good enough to win if the Rams play well?
