Free Pick: Dallas 7-4 at New Orleans 5-6 12/2/21

Dallas comes into this Thanksgiving night game after a bad loss against the Raiders. They have lost 3 out of their last 4 and suddenly find themselves in a situation where they need a win to right the ship heading down the stretch. Meanwhile, the Saints have problems of their own, as they have lost four straight after defeating Tampa Bay. So, something has to give in this one. Let’s see if there is anything to bet.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

New Orleans: 20.5 Total Team Points The Saints are averaging 23 points per game coming into this one. The Dallas defense is coming off a poor showing where they gave up 36 points against the Raiders in a loss on Thanksgiving. The Saints were awful last week against the Bills where they were held to 6 points. Wisdom says they are going to play better this week. I’m going New Orleans OVER 20.5 total team points.

Dallas: 26.5 Total Team Points Dallas’s offense has been one of the league’s best but they are beat up. They are getting wide receiver, Cee Dee Lamb back, and that will certainly help, but Amari Cooper is still questionable. Dak Prescott has played brilliantly this year and if can get his weapons back they should get rolling again on this side of the ball. I like Dallas OVER 26.5 total team points, but I’m not confident.

OVER/UNDER 47 Total Combined Team Points I don’t have any definite feelings about this line either way. I’m thinking a 23-21 or 27-24 type of game so I’m not betting this at all.

POINT SPREAD: Dallas is a 4.5-point favorite This line is pretty much dead-on. The Cowboys really need this game, to get back on track for their playoff run. On the other hand, New Orleans has to win or they can pretty much write this season off. This will be an interesting game to watch and see what happens. I could see this going either way.
