Free Pick: Buffalo 8-6 at New England 9-5 12/26/21

This game will go a long way in deciding the AFC East. A Buffalo win and the two teams will be tied going into the last two weeks. A New England win will lock up the division for the Pats. The Bills got back on the winning track last week with a 31-14 win over Carolina, and played well the week before at Tampa Bay, before losing in overtime. The Patriots saw their seven game winning streak come to an end at Indianapolis as their rookie quarterback had a bad game. They need him to bounce back.

TOTAL TEAM TOTALS:

New England: 23 Total Team Points The Patriots have been winning games with a great defense and an efficient offense. Rookie quarterback, Mac Jones, has been very good, but is coming off a game last week that saw him throw 2 damaging interceptions. He has been unflappable and will bounce back. The Buffalo defense has comparable statistics as the Patriots and they are fully capable of shutting them down. I will take the UNDER on New England scoring 23 team points but not bet it.

Buffalo: 20.5 Total Team Points The Bills are averaging 28 points per game and Josh Allen is having a good year ( 3,734 yards with 31 touchdowns). He also can hurt you with his legs as he has rushed for an additional 555 yards. He is the key to the game for the Bills, if they are going to win. New England is fundamentally sound (as always), on defense and make opposing teams earn every yard they get. I’ll take Buffalo OVER 20.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER 43.5 Combined Team Point Totals: This game has 24-20, 21-17, 23-21 all over it. That line can go either way. I’m staying completely away from it.

POINT SPREAD: New England is a 2.5-point favorite The Patriots are one of the Dudes favorite teams and maybe that’s why this game scares us. They won the first game 14-10, but weather played a major factor in that game as the gusty winds made it hard on both teams’ offenses. This is a toss-up game for sure. a game that is not a must win, but a victory for either team, would definitely give them some breathing room for the rest of the season.
