Free Pick: Buffalo (6-4) at New Orleans (5-5) 11/25/21

Buffalo comes into this Thanksgiving night game after a non-competitive loss against the Colts. They have lost 3 out of their last 5 and suddenly find themselve in second place behind New England. Meanwhile, the Saints have problems of their own, as they have lost three straight after defeating Tampa Bay. So, something has to give in this one. Let’s see if there is anything to bet.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

New Orleans: 19.5 Total Team Points The Saints are averaging 25 points per game coming into this one. The Buffalo defense is one of the best, holding opponents to 18 points and 284 total yards per game. But, to be honest, they have played some pretty anemic offenses. The Saints offense doesn’t bring fear to many defensive coordinators but they are adequate. I’m going New Orleans OVER 19.5 total team points.

Buffalo: 26.5 Total Team Points Buffalo’s offense has been inconsistent during this stretch, and they only scored 6 at Jacksonville, and 15 last week against Indianapolis. They need to break out of it this week against a New Orleans defense who allowed 40 to the Eagles last week. I think we can expect a good effort from them on Turkey day. I like Buffalo UNDER 26.5 total team points.

OVER/UNDER 46.5 Total Combined Team Points I don’t have any definite feelings about this line either way. I’m thinking a 23-21 or 27-24 type of game so I’m not betting this at all.

POINT SPREAD: Buffalo is a 6-point favorite Neither of these teams are playing very well, which makes it harder than normal to get a read on the game. I could see this going either way. I think the Bills might win, but not cover.
