Free Pick: Buffalo (4-1) at Tennessee (3-2) 10/18/21

This should be an interesting matchup in this week’s Monday Night game. The Bills are playing as well as anyone and could easily be 5-0. Meanwhile, the Titans are inconsistent and are in need of a victory over a top-notch team. Here are the matchups.

QUARTERBACKS: Josh Allen leads the Bills and has completed 114 out of 183 passes for 1370 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is a solid quarterback and is consistent. Ryan Tannehill has completed 110 passes out of 173 attempts for 1251 yards but has only 6 touchdown passes. He hasn’t played as well as in the past, so far this season. Advantage: Buffalo

RUNNING BACKS: The leading rusher for Buffalo is Devin Singletary who has 55 carries for 284 yards. Surprisingly, Allen is the 2nd leading rusher with 35 carries for 188 yards. Tennessee has the best running back in the league, in Derrick Henry,who has carried the ball 142 times for 640 yards and 7 touchdowns. Advantage: Tennessee

RECEIVERS: Buffalo has one of the best in Stefon Diggs (28 catches for 374 yards). Two other guys are contributing, Emmanuel Sanders and Dawson Knox, have combined on 37 catches for 563 yards and 9 touchdowns. When healthy, Julio Jones, gives the Titans a deep threat and makes them a lot better. He is scheduled to play this week. Advantage: Buffalo

DEFENSE: This is a strength of the Bills and they are limiting teams to 279 total yards. They have accumulated 14 sacks and their excellent secondary has 9 interceptions. Their run defense will get a test this week trying to stop Henry. Tennessee hasn’t been as good as in the past and they will be looking to put pressure on Allen with Harold Landry, who has 5 sacks in the first 5 games. Advantage: Buffalo

This is a game between a team that has been very consistent, (Buffalo), and one that has been on a roller coaster ride, (Tennessee). The Bills are playing the second of two tough road games and it is hard to win two in a row in this league on the road against quality opponents. We expect Tennessee to come up with their best effort of the season. Buffalo is a 6 point favorite and while we think they might win, we like the Titans to beat the spread.
