Free Pick: Arizona 10-5 at Dallas 11-4 1/2/22

The Cardinals come into Dallas in collapse mode. They have lost three in a row including a meltdown against the Detroit Lions. Now, they take on a Cowboys‘ team coming off of a 56-14 thrashing over Washington. Seems like a tough team to break out of a slump against. One would think, if Arizona is going to do anything in the upcoming playoffs, they need to beat Dallas and get some confidence heading into the postseason. Let’s look at the betting angles.

TOTAL TEAM POINTS:

Arizona 23 Total Team Points: The Cardinals have been struggling to score points during their recent losing streak. Kyler Murray has looked sluggish and it is clear that he is missing favorite target, DeAndre Hopkins. The running game has been non-existent and that has put too much pressure on the passing game. Couple that with the fact that Dallas is playing very well on defense, and you have a recipe for a bad day for Arizona. I’m taking Arizona UNDER 23 Total Team Points

Dallas 28.5 Total Team Points We all know how skilled Dallas is on offense. Just say Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, CeeDee Lamb, and Amari Cooper, and defensive coordinators want to go somewhere and hide. The Arizona defense has not been the problem during this skid. They actually have been playing pretty well and they are only giving up 20 points and 323 total yards per game. They will have to play a great game if the Cardinals are going to win. I like Dallas UNDER 28.5 team points.

OVER/UNDER 51.5 Total Combined Team Points I think this is going to be a little bit lower scoring than most people think. I’ll take UNDER 51.5 points.

POINT SPREAD: Dallas is a 6-point favorite The Cowboys are fighting to keep their No.2 seed in the playoff chase, and still have hopes of getting the top spot. So, they should be ready to play. On the other hand, Arizona is trying to solve a multitude of problems and need a victory to restore some confidence. We just can’t trust the Cardinals.
