NHL Free NHL Western Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/25/22 May 25, 2022 Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports NHL Free NHL Western Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/25/22 May 25, 2022 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article The Edmonton Oilers took a giant step towards reaching the Western Conference Finals with a 5-3 victory over Calgary. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one period, then watched as the Flames rallied and tied the game at 3-3 on the flukiest goal of all time. The fact that the OIlers were able to regroup and score the next two goals to grab a 3-1 lead in the series. Tonight St.Louis travels to Colorado and will try and stay alive in a potential elimination game in Denver. We cashed our Best Bet last night with New York’s win over Carolina to even that series at 2-2. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 60-42 since the All-Star Break. We went 2-0 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record is now 378-212 as the playoffs continue.Let’s take a look at the St.Louis-Colorado game and see if we can find anything that gives the Blues a chance tonight to send the series back to St.Louis. *PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* St.Louis at Colorado: Colorado leads the series at 3-1: I’m scratching my head trying to make a case for the Blues tonight in Colorado. The Avalanche have dominated 4 of the 5 games in the series and Game 4 was especially frustrating for Blues fans like me. Down 2-1 after 3 games, and without goalie, Jordan Binnington, St.Louis needed a furious effort on home ice and didn’t get it. Colorado controlled puck possession, offensive zone time, and outshot the Blues 37-20, as they came away with a 6-3 win. David Perron scored two goals, and the Blues had a brief 2nd period rally, to go into the 3rd period only down a goal. But they were unable to muster any kind of sustained attack in a period where they needed to play desperate. Goalie, Ville Husso, will get the blame, but his teammates weren’t good enough to give him any help to beat a team like Colorado. The Avalanche are very good, and it was going to take a fantastic effort, (and a little luck), for the Blues to have had a chance in this series. The effort hasn’t been there and that is what in unacceptable. St.Louis beat Colorado in Game 2 in Denver, so they have a chance tonight. They have the ability to score and if they can get a couple of early goals they could win. But, Colorado has them by the throat and I don’t think they are going to let the opportunity to close out this series get away.
