Bad boy, Nazem Kadri, got the last laugh, as he had a hat trick, and the Avalanche are looking the part as the team to beat for the Stanley Cup. Tonight the Battle for Alberta continues in Edmonton as the Oilers look to win their third straight over the Flames. This will be a chance for Calgary to step up and show that they are the best team in the Pacific Division.

Calgary at Edmonton: Edmonton leads the series 2-1: The Edmonton Oilers have taken control of this series by winning the last two games. They won Game 2 in Calgary 5-3, and returned home on Sunday night and dominated the Flames 4-1. Evander Kane, who didn’t even have a team to play for in January, has scored 10 goals, including a hat trick in Game 3. Connor McDavid has accumulated an amazing 23 points with 6 goals and 17 assists. Fellow star, Leon Draisaitl isn’t far behind, with 19 points on 7 goals and 12 assists. Neither Los Angeles or Calgary has been able to slow them down. Goaltender, Mike Smith has rebounded from being pulled in the first game of the series and was outstanding on Sunday. Calgary will try and grab the momentum back, and get back to the tight checking game, that made them the best defensive team in the NHL. This series is very difficult to call as the Battle for Alberta continues in the northwoods of Edmonton. The young Oilers have them right where they want them.
