Free NHL Western Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/23/22

Last night we saw a dominating performance from the Edmonton Oilers as they won Game 3 over the Flames in Edmonton. The OIlers took over the game in the 2nd period scoring four straight goals, and Evander Kane got the hat trick, and now has hit the back of the net 10 times in the Edmonton playoff run. Goaltender, Mike Smith, was solid in net and made 31 saves after getting bombarded in Game 1. Now, we shall see how Calgary responds in Game 4 tomorrow. Tonight, Colorado will try and take a 3-1 advantage against the Blues in St.Louis. It will be interesting to see how the Blues play without Jordan Binnington in goal.

We cashed our Best Bet yesterday afternoon as the Rangers got that needed win over Carolina. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 58-42 since the All-Star Break.

We went 2-1-betting the MoneyLine as Edmonton knocked off Calgary to ruin what could have been a perfect betting day. Our overall record is now 374-212 as the playoffs continue.

Let’s take a look at the Western Conference game tonight. The Avalanche will be trying to beat the Blues who will rely on backup goaltender Ville Husso stepping in for the injured Binnington.

Colorado at St.Louis: Colorado leads the series 2-1: The story of this game is the injury to Jordan Binnington, who had been outstanding in goal for the Blues, since being inserted in the lineup after Game 3 in the Minnesota series. They will turn to Ville Husso who played extremely well in the regular season. His steady play propelled the Blues late season drive to the playoffs, so it is not like he is going to be awful. St.Louis can’t use that as an excuse, because their overall game has been shaky, except for Game 2. They have given up too many odd man rushes, and there have been defensive breakdowns as well, that Binnington has covered up. Vladimir Tarasenko has been held in check and he might be the key to their chances to even up the series tonight. Meanwhile, Colorado came into St.Louis and weathered an early onslaught from the Blues, got control of the game, and closed out the home team in an impressive road win. They are a dangerous team and take advantage of their opponent’s mistakes. I give the Blues a decent chance tonight in this crucial Game 4, but in the end, I think the Avalanche are too good.
