The race for the playoffs continues to heat up as the schedule is nearing the final weeks. There were some interesting results last night.

Carolina continues to slump down the stretch and dropped a home game against the Islanders. That lowered our Best Bet of the Day record to 29-25 since the All-Star Break.

We made a nice profit as the Blues came from behind to beat Minnesota 4-3 in overtime and we hit the Upset Special.a tough night betting the MoneyLine and ended up going 5-5 Our overall record is now 225-133 since the All-Star break.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* San Jose at Vancouver: The Canucks have kept their playoff hopes with wins in their last two games over Vegas and Arizona. They come home tonight to take on the Sharks who are finishing up a bad year. Vancouver needs every win they can get and they should be ready in this one. *PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Colorado at Edmonton: The Avs are riding high and are playing for the best overall record heading into the upcoming playoffs. They won their 5th in a row last night in Winnipeg to maintain a 2-point lead over 2nd place Florida. So, they could be a little tired as they are on the 2nd game of a back-to-back. Meanwhile, the Oilers are playing as well as anyone in the NHL, and have a 6-game winning streak and have won 12 out of 15. They are rested and lying for an ambush in Northern Alberta. *PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Florida at Nashville: This is an interesting matchup between two good teams from different conferences. Florida is battling Colorado for the overall best record in the league, and home ice advantage through the playoffs. They lead the league in goals scored and they are lethal on offense. They have won 6 in a row and are 9-1 in their last 10. On the other side, Nashville is in a battle for a playoff spot in the West, and are currently in the first playoff spot. They have a 4-point cushion over 9th place Vegas. This would be a great win for the Preds if they could knock off the high-flying Panthers. Washington at Pittsburgh: This is another huge game with playoff ramifications in the Metropolitan division. The Capitals are 6 points behind 3rd place Pittsburgh, but they have played two fewer games. They beat the Lightning 4-3 in their last outing and will have some momentum coming into the Steel City. Meanwhile, the Penguins have lost 3 straight and 6 of 8, and they are desperate for a win to snap out of this funk. This is a toss-up games but I’m playing the law of averages in this one.
