Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/21/22

After several excellent days of betting the NHL, we finally hit a clunker last night. Thank goodness there were only 4 games.

We managed to cash our Best Bet as the Oilers dealt a crucial blow to Dallas and their playoff hopes. The Edmonton win all but guaranteed them a spot in the playoffs, while the Dallas loss left the Stars barely hanging on the the 8th and final spot in the Western Conference. The win improved improved our Best Bet of the Day record to 42-25 since the All-Star Break.

We went a dismal 1-3 betting the MoneyLine to lower our overall record to 286-156 since the All-Star break.

There is a full schedule tonight with 11 games to sift through. Let’s see if we can get headed back in the right direction tonight.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* New York Rangers at New York Islanders: The Rangers are battling Carolina for 1st place in the Metropolitan division and they are both have 106 points. They need every win they can get and the Islanders always give them fits. The Rangers have won 6 of their last 7 and are in great form. *PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Boston at Pittsburgh: This is one of two games on the docket tonight with big-time ramifications in the Eastern Conference playoff seedings. Boston has won their last two games, including a 2-1 win over the Penguins. They are 10-5 in their last 15 games and they trail Tampa Bay by only a point in the Atlantic division. The Bruins are a hard checking, defensive minded team that always is tough to beat. On the other hand, Pittsburgh is really struggling. They are only 4-9 in their last 13 games and they are tied for 3rd place with red-hot Washington for 3rd place in the Metro division. The Pens are desperate for a win at home tonight, and the law of averages is on their side as well. I’m going against logic and taking Boston. PAPA DUDES UPSET PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Boston +100

BEST GAME OF THE NIGHT Toronto at Tampa Bay: There is no denying the Maple Leafs are playing the best hockey between these two teams, They have won 4 straight and 11 of their last 13. They are almost a lock for 2nd in the Atlantic division and will be looking to snap their playoff streak of first round losses in the playoffs. Toronto is one of the best scoring teams in the league and when they get it rolling they are hard to beat. Meanwhile, the Lightning are in a battle with Boston for 3rd place in the Atlantic, and are coming off an embarrassing loss at home to the Red Wings. The defending champs are only 9-11 in their last 20 games and the league keeps waiting on them to right the ship. Logic says they break out of it tonight with a solid effort against Toronto, in what could be a preview of a first round playoff matchup. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Tampa Bay -120
