NHL Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 4/1/22 April 1, 2022 Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports NHL Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 4/1/22 April 1, 2022 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article We had our 6th straight night of positive betting on the NHL. March went out with a bang and let’s see if we can get April off to a good start.. We cashed our Best Bet, as the Penguins squandered a 2-goal lead in regulation, but came back to beat Minnesota 4-3 in overtime. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 27-19 since the All-Star Break. The Upset Special just missed for the 2nd night in a row. We picked Anaheim to beat Dallas and end their long losing streak. It took overtime, but the Stars won 3-2 to keep us from cashing. We have been oh so close the last two nights. We went 8-1 betting the MoneyLine, and our overall record is now 195-109 since the All-Star break. There are 7 games on the schedule tonight and at first glance there are some interesting matchups. Let’s focus on the best betting games and share our picks on the rest. *PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* New York Islanders at New York Rangers: This has developed into a good rivalry between these two teams over the years. The Islanders are a tough team to beat and they are playing pretty well. They beat the Rangers 2-1 in this building recently. However, the Rangers are one of the best teams in the league and they have their eye on the #1 seed in the Eastern conference for the playoffs. If they are focused and ready to play, they should win this one. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on the Rangers -170 *PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* St.Louis at Edmonton: This is the best matchup of the night between these two teams battling for the playoffs in the Western conference. There are 11 teams with legitimate chances at nabbing one of the 8 playoff spots. The Blues currently have 83 points; the Oilers have 81. The Blues are 3rd in the Central; Edmonton is 3rd in the Pacific. Both teams need to win every game they possibly can. Edmonton is a tough place to play and the Oilers have won 3 of their last 4 games. But, St.Louis plays pretty well on the road against good teams and I think it is worth a risk betting some money on them in this spot. PAPA DUDES UPSET PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on St.Louis +125 THE REST OF THE GAMES: Nashville over Buffalo Tampa Bay over Chicago Detroit over Ottawa Vegas over Seattle Arizona over Anaheim 3-TEAM PARLAY: We are going with 1 favorite and 2 underdogs for the parlay tonight. Not real confident on this one, but if we hit we make a good profit. Leg 1: Nashville at Buffalo: Bet the MoneyLine on the Sabres +160 Leg 2: Ottawa at Detroit: Bet the MoneyLine on the Red Wings -120 Leg 3: Anaheim at Arizona: Bet the MoneyLine on Arizona +110 Bet $10 for a Payout of $90.10
