Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 3/8/22

The NHL continues to be a major challenge and bettors are struggling to put 2 good nights in a row. We finally hit the jackpot as we put those two nights together for the first time in quite awhile.

We cashed our Best Bet as Calgary beat the Oilers to keep their recent hot streak going. That was a fairly easy one and it improved our mediocre Best Bet of the Day record to 10-11 since the All-Star Break.

We went 4-1 betting the MoneyLine which is better and we need to keep it going. Our overall record is 78-55 since the All-Star break.

Tonight there are 11 games and this is going to be challenge to the bettor. There are some great matchups and a lot of great games to watch. Let’s get our lucky rabbit foot out and roll the dice on some winners.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Washington at Calgary: The Capitals come into Calgary with a modest 2-game winning streak. They have been struggling so any wins are good. Meanwhile, the Flames have won 14 of their last 16 games and are playing the best hockey in the NHL. They are a good bet as they are playing very consistent winning hockey. My only concern is they are coming off a game from last night and they could have some tired legs. But there is some value in selecting them in this spot. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Calgary

Florida at Pittsburgh: This is a toss-up between two of the best teams in the NHL. Florida can score goals in flurries and they are hard to shut down. The Penguins will have to get great goaltending to win. I’m making a pick for this article, but I don’t have much confidence in it. PAPA DUDES PICK: Florida

Dallas at Nashville: The Stars are one of the hottest teams in the league and they are making a tremendous push in the Central Division playoffs. They are now in the 4th and final playoff spot, one point ahead of Nashville. The Predators are struggling of late, and obviously this is a monster game for them. Dallas has been winning a ton of close games lately and they are due to lose one. I’m going with the home ice in this one. PAPA DUDES PICK: Nashville

New York Rangers at Minnesota: This is another game of two teams heading in opposite directions. The Rangers have won three in a row and five of their last seven as they skate into Minnesota. On the other hand, the Wild have lost eight out of ten, as they are mired in their worst slump of the season. New York is the better team; but Minnesota needs a win to snap out of their funk. PAPA DUDES PICK: Minnesota

Phoenix at Detroit: Two teams going nowhere tangle tonight in Hockeytown. I’ll make this short and sweet. I’m going with the home team. PAPA DUDES PICK: Detroit

Anaheim at Chicago: The Ducks are desperate for wins as they battle for a playoff spot in the crowded Pacific division. They are taking on a Chicago team that is dangerous at home. These are the kinds of games that Anaheim has to have. I’m not sure they get it. PAPA DUDES PICK: Chicago
