Free NHL Picks, Best Bets and Parlays for 3/24/22

After somewhat of a rebounding effort for our bets on the NHL, the upset bug reared its’ ugly head last night and got us again.

For the 3rd night in a row, our Best Bet cashed, as the Leafs edged out the Devils. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 22-16 since the All-Star Break.

We also hit the Upset Special, capitalizing on our hunch that an improving Sabres team might slip up on the Penguins, coming off a game the night before. At least, we are doing well picking some upsets.

We went 2-2 betting the MoneyLine, which was bad, but the Buffalo upset made us a profit. Our overall record is 145-95 since the All-Star break.

There are 10 games on the schedule tonight, plus the NCAA College Basketball Sweet Sixteen as a distraction. But, I’m determined to turn my full attention to hockey and have a good night of betting.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Dallas at Carolina: This is one of the best games of the night as the Stars roll into Carolina, with hopes of overtaking teams ahead of them, and making the playoffs. This would be a huge game for them to win against an excellent team. The Hurricanes have no worries about making the playoffs, and they are just trying to finish as high as they can to improve their playoff position. They broke a 4-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay. I’m going with the home team to pick up a win. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Carolina

*PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Nashville at Vegas: The Predators skate into Vegas as the 1st wildcard in the Western Conference, leading Dallas by 5 points. If the season ended today, the Golden Knights would fail to make the postseason. They are currently in the 9th spot with 72 points trailing the Stars by only 1 point. So, this is a big game for Vegas to win, probably more so than Nashville. The Predators are slightly favored and I think it is worth a shot at throwing some money on the home team. Tampa Bay at Boston: Probably the best game of the night as the struggling Lightning take on the consistent Bruins in Boston. Tampa Bay has hit the wall lately and have lost 5 of their last 7 games and they are looking to get back on track as they head towards the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Bruins are 5-1 in their last six games and are looking to improve their playoff situation. This is a true toss-up game. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on the Lightning -110
