Free NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/6/22

Last night was a decent betting night for us as the Stanley Cup Playoffs roll on. All eight 1st round series have now gone two games, and only Carolina and Colorado have a 2-0 lead. The other six matchups are tied at a game apiece. Tonight we have four Game 3’s on the schedule and they are as difficult as you might expect. I’m not getting good vibes on any of my picks at all.

We split our Best Bets last night as Florida bounced back and thumped the Capitals for a winner, but the Stars shut out Calgary 2-0 to even up that series heading into Dallas for Game 3 tomorrow. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 50-32 since the All-Star Break.

We went 3-1 betting the MoneyLine with the Flames loss being the only blemish for the night. That brings our overall record to 347-192 as the playoffs continue.

And, finally we hit another Parlay and turned a $10 bet into a Payout of $50.57. We continue to stay pretty warm in this category.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues tonight with 4 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the two Eastern Conference games and see if we can get lucky.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Toronto at Tampa Bay: The series is tied at 1-1: The Lightning responded like champions are supposed to do and evened up the series with an impressive 5-3 win in Game 2. Now, the series returns to Florida for an important Game 3. Goaltender, Andrei Vasilevskiy was outstanding stopping 31 shots, while Victor Hedman and Nikita Kucherov provided the offense and Tampa showed Toronto that they aren’t going to be easy to beat. The Maple Leafs had too many penalties and could never gain the momentum because they were on the penalty kill too much. It will be interesting to see how they respond tonight in Florida. We all know that they are very talented and are capable of winning anywhere against anybody. This should be a classic game tonight and a fun one to watch. I’m sticking with the Lightning to get the job done on home ice. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Tampa Bay -120

Carolina at Boston: Carolina leads the series 2-0: The Hurricanes have dominated the first two games of this series despite losing two goalies to injuries. Starting goaltender, Frederik Andersen was out before the series even started, and backup Antti Raanta was injured in Game 2. But, Carolina has been the far better team and it hasn’t seemed to matter. They have outscored the Bruins 10-3 in the first two games and, even more than that, they have outmuscled them, showing Boston they are not going to be pushed around. However, the series switches to Boston for Game 3 and the Bruins will be a different animal in their building tonight. I look for a physical, bruising game with a lot of pushing and shoving and intimidation tactics from both teams. If, either Andersen or Raanta, is able to play tonight, I’m sticking with the Hurricanes in this one. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Carolina +110

3- TEAM PARLAY:

Going with a favorite, an upset, and a total goals for the parlay tonight. Shaky parlay for sure, so go easy.

Leg 1: Carolina at Boston: Bet the MoneyLine on Carolina +110

Leg 2: Toronto at Tampa Bay: Bet the MoneyLine on Tampa Bay -120

Leg 3: Edmonton at Los Angeles: Bet UNDER 6.5 goals

Bet $10 for a Payout of $60.58
