Free NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/5/22

Last night was a good betting night for us as we cashed in on some bets. Carolina became the first team in the Playoffs to take a 2-0 lead and are as impressive as anyone so far. Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and Edmonton all won to even their respective series at 1-1. The action continues tonight with 4 more games on the schedule.

We cashed both of our Best Bets last night as Carolina and Edmonton both won. Hopefully, those two winners will get us going as we have been struggling is this category. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 49-31 since the All-Star Break.

We went 3-1 betting the MoneyLine and are kicking ourselves for not picking the Lightning. Our overall record is 344-191 as the playoffs continue.

We did pick Tampa Bay to win in our Parlay and turned a $10 bet into a Payout of $59.58. We continue to stay pretty warm in this category.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues tonight with 4 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the 2 Eastern Conference games and see if we can get lucky.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Washington at Florida: Washington leads the series 1-0: Game 1 went to the Capitals as they went into Miami and upset top-seeded Florida 4-2. They rallied for 3 goals in the 3rd period to pull off the stunner against a Florida team that had been 39-0-1 in the regular season when leading after 2 periods. T.J. Oshie scored midway through the third period to put the Caps ahead for good and Vitek Vanecek did the rest in goal, stopping 30 Florida shots and holding down the explosive Panthers. It is hard to imagine Florida losing two in a row at home and this probably served as a wake-up call. I think we will see a different bunch of Panthers tonight, but Washington isn’t going away easy. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Florida -260

Pittsburgh at New York Rangers: Pittsburgh leads the series 1-0: These two teams went 3 overtimes, before Evgeni Malkin deflected a shot from John Marino into the net, to give the Penguins a 4-3 win in Game 1. Pittsburgh lost starting goaltender, Casey DeSmith in the 2nd overtime, after he had made 48 saves.. They replaced him with Louis Domingue who had only played in 2 games all season. He calmly stopped all 17 shots he faced the rest of the way and kept the Rangers off the board. Jake Guentzel scored two goals and the win gives the Penguins a ton of momentum. Meanwhile, there isn’t much bad to say about the Rangers’ performance. They played well and sometimes in hockey there are games that you lose and just have to tip your hat to the opponent. I look for the Rangers to win tonight in another close one as this is shaping up to be a helluva series. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on New York -160

3- TEAM PARLAY:

Not much to bet on tonight. Shaky parlay for sure, so go easy.

Leg 1: Pittsburgh at New York: Bet the MoneyLine on the Rangers -160

Leg 2: Dallas at Calgary: Bet UNDER 5.5 goals

Leg 3: Washington at Florida: Bet the Panthers -1.5

Bet $10 for a Payout of $50.57
