Free NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/15/22

After last night we now know six of the eight teams advancing on to the Conference Semifinals. After today, we will know all eight of them. In yesterday’s tripleheader of Game 7’s, Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Edmonton all won to survive and move on to the 2nd round. Today features two more deciding games as Pittsburgh heads to New York and Dallas is in Calgary. In five of the eight first round matchups it has taken the full seven games to decide those series. These playoffs have been as good as advertised.

We cashed our Best Bet last night as Carolina took care of business at home and held off the Bruins 3-2 to win the series. They will move on and play the winner of the Penguins-Rangers game today. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 55-38 since the All-Star Break.

We went 3-0 betting the MoneyLine as we correctly picked the winners in all 3 of those difficult 7th games. Our overall record is now 366-206 as the playoffs continue.

We hit another Parlay for the 2nd night in a row and turned a $10 Bet into a Payout of $54.48. It’s always nice to pad the bankroll with what I call bonus money.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues today with 2 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the Pittsburgh-New York Game 7 and try and pick a winner. I might just flip a coin on them both.

Pittsburgh at New York: The series is tied at 3-3: Pittsburgh had a 3-1 lead in Game 5 in New York, with a golden opportunity to close out the Rangers. Instead, New York scored 4 straight goals to stave off elimination and force a Game 6 in Pittsburgh on Friday. The Penguins once again jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the 1st period, but the Rangers came storming back for a 5-3 victory, and here we are for the deciding Game 7 in the Big Apple. The Rangers have all the momentum and home ice as well, and are favored to win their third straight game after being down three games to one a few days ago. Goaltender, Igor Shesterkin, has returned to his regular season form and has made some big saves in the last two games. He is a big key in this matchup today, along with the New York defense which has given up a ton of shots in the six games. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has injury problems and it is not known if Sidney Crosby will play today. He was held out of Friday’s game and didn’t take part in an optional skate yesterday. Without his leadership and skills, the Penguins are not near as dangerous, especially in a Game 7. Starting goaltender, Tristan Jarry hasn’t played at all in the series and back-up Casey DeSmith was injured in Game 1. Third-stringer Louis Domingue has stepped in and he has been steady, but can he hold up in a Game 7 on the road? Logic tells us the Rangers have all the aces in their hands going into this one. They are at home, they have all the momentum, they are healthier, and most of all, they are a better team. If they score early, this could get ugly. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on the Rangers -140

3- BET PARLAY:
