Free NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/10/22

Last night we had a decent night as we correctly hot 3 out of 4 games in the NHL. We needed a bounce back night after a horrible weekend. There are 4 more toss-up like games tonight as the Stanley Cup playoffs continue.d

We finally cashed our Best Bet again as Florida came through on overtime and evened their series with the Capitals at 2-2. Our Best Bet of the Day record is now 52-36 since the All-Star Break.

We went a decent 3-1 betting the MoneyLine as the Rangers kept us from a perfect night. Our overall record is now 354-201as the playoffs continue.

The run for the Stanley Cup continues today with 4 more games on the schedule. Let’s see what Vegas is thinking about the two Eastern Conference games and see if we can get lucky.

Boston at Carolina: The series is tied at 2-2: Carolina looked unbeatable in the first two games and the Bruins returned the favor in the next two games in Boston. That leads us to Game 5 tonight in Raleigh. Carolina is missing their starting goaltender, Frederik Andersen, but the Bruins have outplayed in the last two games. Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron have 6 goals and 9 assists between them. Jeremy Swayman was inserted in goal for the two games in Boston and he has responded stopping 49 of the 53 shots he has faced. Boston is a playoff team and they are fully capable of getting a win on the road. But, Carolina is the better team and they need to get their big guns going. They are coming home where they scored 10 goals in the first two games. It will be interesting to see who starts in goal tonight. I’m going to side with the home team in this one and I think it will go down to the final horn. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on the Hurricanes -150

Tampa Bay at Toronto: The series is tied at 2-2: I will admit I have no idea who to pick in this pivotal Game 5 tonight in Toronto. Before the series started, I was undecided and nothing has changed my mind after 4 games. Each has a win in the other’s building so that angle is a wash. Both teams have been good offensively. Both have had a game where they gave up a lot of goals. There just isn’t much to choose from when analyzing this game tonight. The pressure is on the Maple Leafs to finally get out of the first round of the playoffs, and having to beat the Lightning to do it, is a tall task. They have to be feeling a lot of heat going into this game that they need to win at home. On the other hand, you have a Tampa Bay team that is trying for a 3-peat and win the Stanley Cup again. That is a pretty large chunk of pressure as well. I flipped my magic coin again and it came up Toronto, so that is who I’m going with. But, no money is going out on this one. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Toronto -130
