One thing we can pretty much predict is tight-checking defensive hockey from these two teams. There isn’t much that separates them and this game will be no different. The Tampa Bay Lightning are patiently waiting for the winner of this series in what should be a classic Eastern Conference Finals matchup. This game should be as intense as it gets and if you like hockey it is must see TV.

Both of these teams are so evenly matched and strong cases can be made to take either team. The Rangers probably have an edge at goalie, as Igor Shesterkin has been outstanding in this series. He stopped 37 of 39 shots on Saturday and will be a big asset in the Rangers corner tonight. Mika Zibanejad has been on a hot streak and leads New York in scoring with 16 points. The Rangers appear to have more scoring depth than Carolina as well. But, don’t sell the Hurricanes short. They are unbeaten at home in the playoffs and have outscored their opponents 25-8 in North Carolina. Allowing only 8 goals in the seven previous home games is especially noteworthy. Goaltender, Antti Raanta was pulled in Game 6, but overall, he has been consistently good throughout the playoffs. He will need to bounce back tonight. The Hurricanes spent too much time in the penalty box in Game 6, and New York scored 2 power play goals with the man advantage. That will be a point of emphasis for the Hurricanes as well. There really isn’t much else to say. Game 7’s are one of sports greatest moments and tonight should be no difference. I want to pick the Rangers in this one and I’m going to put some money on them because there is good value there. But, I picked Carolina to win the series and I’m sticking with them.
