Free NCAA College Basketball Sweet Sixteen Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 3/25/22

We are down to the Sweet Sixteen, with 2 games from the East Region in Philadelphia, and 2 games from the Midwest Region in Chicago. The winners will advance to Sunday’s Regional Finals and an opportunity to make it into the Final Four. This is what we’ve been waiting for. So let’s analyze each game and see if we can get lucky and cash in on our bets.

Last night we cashed our Best Bet as Arkansas not only beat the spread, but they also won the game over top-seeded Gonzaga. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 58-34 since Jan.1st.

The went 2-2 betting the MoneyLine and that leaves us with a record of 669-151 (82%) in 2022.

There were 4 games involving Top-25 teams and we went 3-1 betting the spread and made a nice profit. Our record betting the spread is now 141-99.

Finally, with Arkansas and Houston winning we hit our parlay and turned our $15 Bet into a Payout of $91.

FRIDAY’S GAMES:

6:09 Central Time- CBS

#15 St.Peter’s 21-11 vs #3 Purdue 29-7 (-12.5) in Philadelphia: Will the Peacocks come down to earth, and play like we all thought they would, when this 68-team tournament started a week ago? They have been ultra impressive in the first two games and they are going to have to pull another extraordinary performance to beat Purdue. The Boilermakers were probably the most talented team in the Big 10 during the regular season, and lost some games they probably should’ve won. They are the best team in this matchup but so was Kentucky, when they encountered St.Peter’s in the first round. Here’s the thing; Purdue has had three days to prepare not only physically, but, more importantly, mentally for this game. That is a huge advantage. I think they are going to win and will probably cover late, but I’m just going to enjoy it. However, here is my pick. PAPA DUDES PICK: Purdue -12.5

8:39 Central Time- CBS

#8 North Carolina 26-9 vs #4 UCLA 27-7 (-2.5) in Philadelphia: The Tar Heels have been better than advertised in the first two rounds. They demolished Marquette 95-63 in the first round, and followed that up with tough 93-86 overtime over #1 seeded Baylor. So, they are obviously playing very well. UCLA had a very difficult 1st round, 57-53, win over a stubborn Akron team. In the 2nd round they knocked out St.Mary’s 72-56 in typical Bruins’ fashion. They are the most consistent of the two teams and I think they are a little bit more proven than the Tar Heels. But, North Carolina is North Carolina and they are a tough out. This will be a fun game to watch between two schools with storied histories. PAPA DUDES PICK: UCLA -2.5

6:29 Central Time- TBS

#4 Providence 27-5 vs. #1 Kansas 30-6 (-7.5) in Chicago: Once again, we see the disrespect that Vegas has for Providence. The Friars should not be 7.5-point underdogs in this matchup and that isn’t slighting Kansas at all. The Friars beat a good South Dakota State team in the first round and had no trouble with Richmond on Sunday. They won the Big East regular season conference title and they are a hard-nosed bunch that knows how to win close games. Kansas is no stranger to this tournament and they are playing at a high level coming into this game. They won the Big 12 conference tournament and they have been through the wars of a tough conference also. I think this will be a classic game and I’m going with the Jayhawks to win a close game but fail to cover. PAPA DUDES PICK: Providence +7.5

8:59 Central Time- TBS

PAPA DUDES BEST BET: #11 Iowa State 22-12 vs #10 Miami 25-10 (-2.5) in Chicago: I have to take my hat off to Iowa State, as they rebounded from a terrible ending to their regular season, and knocked off LSU 59-54 and Wisconsin 54-49 to get to the Sweet Sixteen. They did it by playing outstanding defense and hitting enough shots to get by the first two rounds. Meanwhile, Miami was very much underseeded, and upset USC in round one and then easily defeated Auburn on Sunday. They are playing very well and are well-coached. They cause matchup problems with their 4-guard, 1-forward lineup and I like them to advance to the next round. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Miami -2.5

3-TEAM PARLAY:

Because we cashed some nice bets last night, we are going to to get a little risky and go with a big underdog and two spread bets.

Leg 1: Providence vs. Kansas (-7.5): Bet the MoneyLine on Providence +260

Leg 2: North Carolina vs. UCLA (-2.5): Bet UCLA -2.5

Leg 3: Iowa State vs. Miami (-2.5): Bet Miami -2.5

Bet $10 for a Payout of $118.49
