Free NCAA College Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 3/6/22

The last Survival Saturday is in the books and we had a very good day. There were some epic games and we move into the final day of the 2021-2022 regular season. March Madness is in full swing and it’s fun being right in the middle of it.

We missed our Best Bet as Seton Hall defeated Creighton for their 20th win. That lowered our Best Bet of the Day record to 46-30 since January 1st.

We bet on 26 games and went an excellent 24-2 betting the MoneyLine. Our record now stands at 622-131 (83%) for 2022.

There were 13 games involving Top-25 teams. We were 10-3 picking winners and 6-7 betting the spread. Our record betting the spread on games involving Top-25 teams is now 102-77.

On the final Sunday, we have 4 games involving Top-25 teams and they are as hard as ever to predict the point spreads. Let’s see what Vegas has in store for us today.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Penn State 12-15 at Rutgers 17-12 (-5.5): The Scarlet Knights still have an outside chance at a tournament spot and can’t afford any slip-ups. They desperately need to be impressive to get the committee’s attention. On the other hand, Penn State is going nowhere. I look for the Nittany Lions to play their usual hard-working game but I think Rutgers is going to be motivated enough to bang out a cover in this one. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Rutgers -5.5

GAMES INVOLVING TOP-25 TEAMS:

#14 Houston 26-4 (-2) at Memphis 18-9: : The Cougars have clinched the regular season conference title, and are coming into this game, hoping to improve their seeding in the Big Dance. Meanwhile, Memphis is on the bubble and need a win to get to the tournament. The Tigers are certainly capable of pulling off the upset and will Houston be motivated to hold off their effort? I have to make a pick for this column, but I’m not touching this one as far as betting. PAPA DUDES PICK: Houston -2

Michigan 16-13 at #23 Ohio State 19-9 (-4): I’ve quit picking games involving these two teams. Both are totally unpredictable and I can’t get a read on either one of them. Ohio State is probably the better team and they are at home, but I quit betting on Ohio State a couple of weeks. I’ll make a pick but my money stays in my pocket. PAPA DUDES PICK: Ohio State -4

Nebraska 9-21 at #10 Wisconsin 24-5 (-13): This is another game where you have to bet the spread. Probably no doubt that Wisconsin wins the game, but can they cover the 13 points to knock off an improving Nebraska team? PAPA DUDES PICK: Nebraska +13

#24 Iowa 22-8 at #20 Illinois 21-8 (-3.5): This is another Big-Ten game that is difficult to pick. Iowa is red hot and has made a late run to lock up a tournament bid. Illinois is in a similar situation and they will be playing to improve their seeding. Should be a great game to wrap up the regular season in the extremely competitive Big Ten. Here’s my pick; but I’m not betting this one. PAPA DUDES PICK: Illinois -3.5
