Free NCAA College Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 2/21/22

Another week is in the books in College basketball. Yesterday was a decent day and the week was profitable.

We missed our Best Bet as USC proved that Vegas once again proved me wrong. I thought a Top-20 team could cover a 5.5-point spread at home, against a 14-11 team, but I looked at it too logically against. They won but failed to cover. So we will start the week with a Best Bet of the Day record of 38-26.

We went 6-2 betting the MoneyLine. Our record now stands at 474-111 (81%) for 2022.

There were 5 games involving Top-25 teams. We got all 5 games correct picking winners, but went 2-3 betting the spread. Our record stands at 60-45 in that category.

There are some interesting games and three that feature Top-25 teams. They let’s get the new week started in the right direction.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Penn State 11-12 at Maryland 12-14 (-2): Two teams going nowhere. I can’t see Maryland losing this one. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Maryland -2

GAMES INVOLVING TOP-25 TEAMS:

Indiana 16-9 at #18 Ohio State 16-7 (-7): This Big Ten game features two teams that need a win. Indiana was virtually assured of a NCAA tournament berth a couple of weeks ago, but have fallen into a rut, resulting in a 4-game losing streak. After this one tonight, their schedule loosens up somewhat, but they still have Purdue (the best team in the league), on the road to end the season. This is a game they desperately need to boost their resume’. The Buckeyes, somehow stay ranked, but they have been anything but impressive. They have six games remaining, including tonight, and they are still in reasonably good shape, if they take care of business. So to sum it up, a much more dire situation for the Hoosiers. I think Ohio State gets it done in Columbus tonight but I’m not confident they cover. PAPA DUDES PICK: Ohio State -7

#7 Baylor 22-5 (-4.5) at Oklahoma State 13-13: This might be a revenge game for Baylor after Oklahoma State went into Waco and knocked off the Bears back in January. However, playing that angle doesn’t mean much. Obviously, the Bears are the better team and should win. But, the Cowboys are one of those teams that are tough to beat and can shut you down. I have to take baylor with the small spread and I think they can put Oklahoma State away late. PAPA DUDES PICK: Baylor -4.5

Arizona State 10-15 at UCLA 19-5 (-14.5): The Sun Devils are playing much better basketball and have won three in a row. A couple of weeks ago they knocked off the Bruins in Tempe, so they are coming into LA with some momentum. UCLA is obviously better but I’m a little surprised the spread is as high as it is. I’m going to take a shot at Arizona State and the points, figuring the Bruins might not be quite ready to play. PAPA DUDES PICK: Arizona State +14.5

Don’t bet much on this one. I’m just taking a shot on 3 iffy games with a decent payout.
