Free NCAA College Basketball Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays 2/25/22

Last night was just so-so and that was bound to happen after the hot streak I’ve been on. So, even though I predicted a bunch of games, I didn’t feel comfortable with very many of my selections, so I placed exactly zero bets. Sometimes, the best bet you make are the ones you don’t.

I was surprised at how easily Arizona State turned back Colorado making my Best Bet go down in flames. That dropped our Best Bet of the Day record to 41-27 since January 1st.

We went a perfect 11-3 betting the MoneyLine. Our record now stands at 520-115 (82%) for 2022.

There were 7 games involving Top-25 teams. We went 5-2 picking winners, and were a mediocre 3-4 betting the spread. Our record stands at 73-56 in a category that is very difficult.

Tonight is Take a Break Friday as the schedule is rather light. Let’s see what’s on tap and if we can find anything to bet.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

San Jose State 8-19 at San Diego State 17-7 (-22): With the light schedule tonight, I didn’t find anything that jumped out at me as a Best Bet. So, having said that, I settled on this Mountain West game, that will be one-sided. The question is how one-sided will it be? The Aztecs are coming off a demoralizing loss at Boise State and have a key game at Wyoming coming up after this one. I’m taking a chance on this being a game they don’t have a lot of focus on. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: San Jose State +22

GAMES INVOLVING TOP-25 TEAMS:

#25 Iowa 19-8 (-11.5) at Nebraska 7-20: This is another game where most people expect an Iowa win. They are on a roll and a victory here will give them 20 wins and, more importantly, 10 victories in the rugged Big 10 conference. Nebraska is going nowhere and yesterday the administration made a statement supporting the head coach and saying he would be back next year. This could be a boost for the Huskers if they still care. Iowa-Nebraska is a good rivalry in football; not sure if anyone cares in basketball. PAPA DUDES PICK: Iowa -11.5

3-TEAM PARLAY:

Just taking a shot on this one. We have two reasonable upsets and and a decent home favorite as our selections.

LEG 1: St.Louis at Richmond (-3): Bet the MoneyLine on St.Louis +135

LEG 2: St.Peter’s at Monmouth (-4): Bet the MoneyLine on Monmouth -185

LEG 3: Texas State (-2) at Troy: Bet the MoneyLine on Troy +110
