Free NCAA Basketball Best Bets and Money Line Selections for 1/29/22

Not exactly a banner night for Team Papa Dude but we were due for a clunker.

In what turned out to be a dumb move (ok I got cocky), I picked Lehigh (a team and a league I know very little about) to go on the road, and not only win, but cover 4.5 points against Holy Cross. Neither one happened as the Crusaders won 67-65. That lowered our Best Bet of the Day record to 23-13 for the season.

We only had four games on the Money Line and we went 3-1 and that improves our record to 211-46 (82%) as we head into Saturday.

We have a fantastic lineup of games today and tonight as most of the Top-25 teams will be in action. Wager cautiously and be prepared as we are in the dog days of the college basketball season and it is primetime for upsets to happen.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Virginia Tech 10-10 at Florida State 13-6: The Seminoles are coming off a bad loss in their last outing at Georgia Tech. They have a tendency to shoot the ball poorly, which is always a bad attribute to have in the game of basketball. However, they are 10-2 at home and they are facing a Virginia Tech team, that plays everyone close, but seems to come out on the losing end in a lot of those close games. I’m not real confident in this game, but I can’t let the 1.5 spread for Florida State, at home against a .500 team, pass.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Florida State -1.5

OTHER GAME TO CONSIDER:

Just a friendly suggestion I would stay away from playing the SEC-BIG 12 matchup games today. These two conferences are evenly matched and these games could go either way and ruin your betting day. But if you can’t resist (which will probably be me), here are my 4 best suggestions:

LSU (-2) at TCU: The Tigers are struggling and the Froggies are good enough to beat them. Take the Frogs +2

Missouri at Iowa State (-11): Missouri is better than their record and Iowa State is not as good as theirs. Take Missouri +11

West Virginia at Arkansas (-8): The Razorbacks are playing well and the Mounties aren’t. Take Arkansas -8

Baylor (-3.5) at Alabama: If the Bears bring their best they should be fine in this one. Take Baylor -3.5

Money Line Best Bets:
