Free NCAA Basketball Picks, Best Bets and Parlays For 2/2/22

Yesterday proved to be a very profitable betting day as we were very close to having a perfect day. Only an upset loss by UConn kept us from that elusive perfect betting record.

We hit our Best Bet as the LSU Tigers continued to struggle. We picked them to win but fail to cover the 13 point spread against Mississippi. Not only did that cash, but they lost the game as well. That ran our Best Bet of the Day record to an excellent 27-14 in 2022.

We went 8-1 betting the Money Line and our record is 251-53 (83%) for 2022.

There is a huge slate of games on the agenda for tonight with some great games on tap as the season is really heating up and the teams are battling to become a player in March Madness. Let’s see what we can bet.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Illinois State 10-12 at Loyola Chicago 16-4 (-14.5): For the 2nd night in a row I’m going with a team to cover a spread that I think is way too high. The Missouri Valley is very competitive and most games are close. The Redbirds have been on the short end of some close wins in conference play and I’m not expecting them to win. The other angle I’m banking on is the fact the this Loyola team is not as good as in the past. Give me the Redbirds and the points.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Illinois State +14.5

OTHER GAMES TO CONSIDER:

There are some other marquee games on the docket tonight. So, here are some other games to consider.

#11 Wisconsin 17-3 at #18 Illinois 15-5 (-7): This is a huge matchup in the Big Ten involving 2 top ranked teams. Illinois bounced back and won two conference games and they play well at home. But, the Badgers are a tough team to beat and I like them to beat the spread.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Wisconsin +7

#12 Villanova 16-5 (-4.5) at #24 Marquette 15-7: Talk about a toughie to predict. Wow, this is a game between two teams that are a mirror of each other. Marquette went into Philadelphia and beat the Wildcats earlier this season and now they get a chance at a sweep tonight. This will be a knockdown dragout kind of game. Personally, I’m staying away from it, but if you want my pick, here it is.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Marquette +4.5

Notre Dame 14-7 at Miami 16-5 (-4.5): The Irish will be coming into this one looking to atone for their abysmal offensive performance on Monday against Duke. They managed to score 40 points against the Devils in South Bend. So, they will come out firing. Meanwhile, Miami is quietly tied with Duke for 1st place in the ACC. I don’t think they are getting enough credit. Prove me right tonight Hurricanes!!

3-TEAM PARLAY:

Leg 1: George Mason 11-7 over St.Louis 14-6: Money Line Bet -120 The Patriots have won 4 in a row and they are at home. They are worth a shot to get No.5 against a good St.Louis team.

Leg 2: Miami over Notre Dame: Money Line Bet -185 I’m going with the Hurricanes to get the win at home over the Irish.

Leg 3: Illinois State over Loyola Chicago: Illinois State +14.5 I think the Ramblers win but the Redbirds keep it closer and beat the spread.
