Free NBA Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/7/22

Last night we saw the difference having Joel Embiid in the lineup meant for the 76ers. In his first appearance in Round 2, he scored 18 points, added 11 rebounds, and clogged up the middle defensively in Philly’s 99-79 win. And in Texas, the Mavericks showed Phoenix they aren’t going to go away as they defeated the Suns 103-94. We have two more Game 3’s today and they both should be excellent games and hard to pick.

We struggled with our Best Bet as we took the small spread and Phoenix to beat Dallas. That was a flop and our Best Bet of the Day record is now 91-47 in 2022.

Let’s look at the Memphis-Golden State game tonight and see what Vegas thinks about this one.

Memphis at Golden State (-7): The series is tied at 1-1: In arguably, the most exciting series of all of them, these two teams head to Golden State for Game 3. The Grizzlies rode the unbelievable play of Ja Marant and his 47 points, to a 106-101 win to even the series at 1-1. It was a Jordan-like performance and he might have to duplicate that again tonight. Memphis took advantage of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson’s combined 5-23 shooting from behind the arc and that’s not likely to happen on their home floor. While a lot of pundits are saying that Memphis should have had an easier time with the Warriors because of their poor shooting, let’s not forget, they played the huge majority of the game without Dillon Brooks, who was ejected for a flagrant foul early in the game. I think this will be an interesting game to see how the young Grizzlies are going to react to a road game against the much more experienced Warriors. Both teams have had three days to make adjustments and this will be an interesting game to watch. I think Golden State is going to win, but I have confidence in Memphis to hang around and keep the Warriors from covering. PAPA DUDES BET: Memphis +7
