Free NBA Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/3/22

Both Miami and Phoenix looked sharp last night, as they took care of business and defended the home court, in a couple of Game 1 matchups. Tonight the Celtics and Grizzlies are in must-win situations at home in Game 2 of their respective series. Let’s look at what we can expect.

We picked Miami to win Game 1, but fail to cover the 7.5-pt. spread against the 76ers as our Best Bet. The Heat used a 56-41 2nd half advantage to keep us from cashing. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 88-46 in 2022.

We correctly predicted both games and went 2-0 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 465-229 since Jan.1st.

Let’s look at the Milwaukee-Boston game and see what we think for the the battle tonight.

Golden State (-2) at Memphis: Golden State leads the series 1-0: It is going to be hard to top the 117-116 thriller won by the Warriors on Sunday. These two teams put on a tremendous show before Golden State was able to win on Klay Thompson’s clutch 3-pointer. The emergence of Jordan Poole, who scored 31 points, has made the Warriors even more dangerous than they already were. They are very difficult to guard and are playing at a high level. Meanwhile, Memphis got tremendous performances from Ja Marant (34 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists) and Jaren Jackson (33 points and 10 rebounds), but just couldn’t get enough stops to turn back the Warriors. They are going to need more tonight from Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks, who combined for only 17 points on 6-23 shooting. This series is going to be one of the best if the Grizzlies can get a win to even it up. They can’t afford to go down 2-0 to an experienced team like Golden State. To me, this is the hardest game so far to pick. A strong case can be made for either team. I’m going to take a shot on the Grizzlies, but not risk a penny on them. PAPA DUDES PICK: Memphis +2
