Free NBA Western Conference Playoffs, Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/2/22

The last two semifinal matchups get underway tonight in Miami and Phoenix. It is going to be hard for either game to duplicate the Golden State-Memphis classic yesterday in Memphis. Let’s see what we can find to bet on.

We picked Golden State to cover the 2.5-pt. spread as our Best Bet, and even though they won, they failed to cover. I don’t get discouraged when I miss a game on a point spread that small. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 88-45 in 2022.

We went 1-1 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 463-229 since Jan.1st.

Let’s look at the Dallas-Phoenix game and see what we think for the the battle tonight.

Dallas at Phoenix (-6): I will be surprised if this isn’t a very close series. Dallas found a way to beat a decent Utah team in the first round, winning two games without their superstar Luka Doncic. In the 3 games Doncic played, he averaged 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. Jalen Brunson burst onto the scene adding an additional 28 points and playing outstanding basketball. Spencer Dinwiddie has been a welcome addition to the team and his steady play and 15 points have given Doncic extra support. Dallas could have easily used the Doncic injury as an excuse and lost to the Jazz, but showed a lot of toughness to win the series. Meanwhile, Phoenix struggled mightily to win their series against New Orleans and were fortunate to win. While it is true, Devin Booker was injured and missed most of the first round, the Pelicans were able to muscle and bully the Suns around. Were it not for the magnificence of Chris Paul in Game 6, the Suns would have had to win a Game 7 showdown in Phoenix. Paul was 14 for 14 from the field and made clutch play after clutch play, as the Suns pulled away late to beat the 36-46 Pelicans. I think Dallas has a great chance to steal Game 1 tonight. The only thing holding me back, is the fact that Dallas is 0-9, head-to-head, in their last 9 meetings. So, I think this line is a little high and I’m going to take the Mavericks and the points. PAPA DUDES BET: Dallas +6
