Free NBA Western Conference Playoffs Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/29/22

Three more first round series were settled last night and we could wrap up the final one today. Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Dallas all advanced to the next round with Game 6 wins. And if Memphis can knock off the Timberwolves tonight all of the top seeds will advance as predicted. The NBA Conference Semifinals are going to be great basketball.

We cashed our 2 Best Bet yesterday as Phoenix got the lead late to finally eliminate the surprising New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans put out a fantastic effort in taking the Suns to the wire. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 88-44 in 2022.

We did have a good night betting the MoneyLine as we went 2-1 to raise our overall record to 463-229 since Jan.1st. I’m extremely upset with myself for not picking the 76ers against the Raptors. I’ve watched Philadelphia all year and they are don’t lose three games in a row very often. I should have listened to my brain and went with it.

Let’s look at the Memphis-Minnesota matchup and look forward to these two teams going at one another again tonight.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Memphis (-1.5) at Minnesota: Memphis leads the series 3-2: Before this series started, I was all over Memphis and didn’t think they would have much trouble with Minnesota. Boy, was I wrong! Arguably, the Timberwolves have been the better team in the first 5 games. They have to be kicking themselves for inexplicably blowing huge leads in Games 3 and 5 to put themselves behind the 8-ball. I thought Memphis would use their physicality and bully the Wolves, but that hasn’t happened. The Grizzlies have got caught up in the up-and-down style of Minnesota and have tried to run with them. That has led to some exciting basketball, but it hasn’t been in the Grizzlies best interest. Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards have been outstanding for Minnesota and the Wolves are going to come out firing tonight. They are one of the league’s best offensive teams. Memphis will counter with emerging superstar Ja Marant, and Desmond Bane, and this will be a game to just sit back and enjoy. I keep waiting for Memphis to get control of the tempo and dice Minnesota. It hasn’t happened yet and if the T-Wolves get the tempo in their favor, it’s going to be another white-knuckler tonight. I’m sticking with the Grizzlies. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Memphis -1.5
