NBA Free NBA Western Conference Game 1 Final Picks, Best Bets and Parlays for 5/18/22 May 18, 2022 Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports NBA Free NBA Western Conference Game 1 Final Picks, Best Bets and Parlays for 5/18/22 May 18, 2022 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article The NBA Western Conference Finals start tonight in San Francisco as Golden State hosts the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas is on a roll after 2 straight blowouts eliminated the favored Phoenix Suns in the semifinal round. The Warriors took six games to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies and they will be favored in the series. But, don’t underestimate the Mavericks, as they are not being given the credit they deserve. This series is going to be closely contested and every game is crucial. We cashed our Best Bet last night as the Miami Heat pulled away in the 2nd half and beat the Celtics in their Game 1. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 98-49 in 2022. We went 1-0 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 482-235 since Jan.1st.Let’s look at what Vegas thinks about Game 1 between the Warriors and the Mavericks and see if we can stay hot with our NBA bets.*PAPA DUDES BEST BET OF THE DAY* Dallas at Golden State (-5): The Mavericks have had two days to recover from their 123-90 dominating win over the Suns. Luka Doncic has been special in the playoffs and is averaging 31.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game. No one has been more consistent than he has and he gives Dallas a chance anytime he takes the floors. He has had help from Jalen Brunson (22.6 pts per game), and Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Reggie Bullock among others. The Mavericks are much tougher than they have been in the past and they are capable of playing at a fast pace as well as slowing it down. On the other side of the floor, the Warriors are back to their playoff winning selves. They are relatively healthy and if they are hitting the 3-ball, they are almost impossible to beat. Stephen Curry, and his 26.9 points per game, and Klay Thompson with another 20.4, get most of the attention, but the key to the Warriors is the play of Jordan Poole. When is on, Golden State has an additional deadly weapon in their arsenal. A big key will be how the Warriors defend Luka and they will throw a number of players at them. So, it is the experience of Golden State against the newcomers from Texas. Dallas is red hot and beat the Warriors 3-1 in the regular season matchups. I can see this series going the full 7 games and I give Dallas a chance tonight, but I’m going to stick with Golden State to win and cover.
