Free NBA Picks: NBA Best Bets and Money Line Selections For 1/20/22

When I went to bed last night, I had hit the shakiest of my Best Bets, and I was 6-3 betting the Money Line. There were 4 games left on the West coast in which I felt confident strongly in three of them. My other Best Bet was the Lakers over the Pacers and I thought I would get that, and, at the worst finish 9-4 with the Money Line.

But, the Lakers blew a 6-point halftime lead and lost to the Indiana Pacers, a team that had lost 10 out of their last 11. I’m officially calling the Laker season as dead, at least for my betting purposes. That loss ran our Best Bet of the Day record to 12-13 and prevented us from getting into the plus column. And, to further add to my misery, the Kings lost at home to the lowly Pistons which dropped us to 8-5 betting the Money Line and improving our overall record to 55-35.

I knew last night was going to be tough and I didn’t get completely wiped out and tonight there are only three games to deal with. Let’s get after them.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for the NBA Today

Phoenix 34-9 (-2) at Dallas 26-19: The Mavericks are playing their best ball of the season having won four straight and 10 out of their last eleven. Buy they are playing their 5th game in 7 days and I’m banking on some tired legs developing in the second half of this one. The worry about picking Phoenix is starting center, Deandre Ayton is injured and won’t play tonight. I’m playing the law of averages again and going with the Suns to stop the Dallas winning streak.

PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Phoenix -2
