There are three more first round games in the NBA playoffs on the schedule for Tuesday. There will be two games in the Western Conference and Atlanta-Miami in the East.
We split our Best Bets yesterday as the Warriors handled Denver and covered easily, but the 76ers throttled the short-handed Raptors and we lost that one. That leaves our Best Bet of the Day record at 78-37 in 2022.
We went 3-0 betting the MoneyLine improving our overall record to 445-219 since Jan.1st.
Let’s check out the two Western Conference games for tonight.
Minnesota at Memphis (-7): Minnesota leads the series 1-0: Minnesota went into Memphis and easily won Game 1, which was a shocker to me. I spent about 10 seconds making my pick for the Grizzlies and never game it another thought. The T-Wolves are a dangerous offensive machine and, when they are allowed to get rolling, they can score points in bunches. They made 16 threes and shot 50% for the game. Memphis prides itself on it’s defense, and I expect a much better effort tonight. I just can’t see them playing as poorly tonight. I’m going with the Grizzlies. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Memphis -7
New Orleans at Phoenix (-9.5) Phoenix leads the series 1-0: The Pelicans put up a good effort in Game 1, showing a lot of moxie after being down 53-34 at the half. They closed that gap to seven points at one point, before the Suns pulled away down the stretch to win 110-99. I like the fight in this Pelicans’ team, but Phoenix simply has too much firepower for them. If the Suns are focused and motivated, they should cover this spread and take a 2-0 lead in the series. PAPA DUDES PICK: Phoenix -9.5
