We head into the NBA Conference Semifinal with 4 matchups that should be absolutely outstanding. Today we have a game in the East and a battle in the West to enjoy on this Sunday afternoon. After a much needed day off, it is time to get back in the saddle and they how these games shape up.
On Friday night, we hit our Best Bet, as Memphis won Game 6 to end the series with Minnesota. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 88-44 in 2022.
We went 1-0 betting the MoneyLine to raise our overall record to 462-228 since Jan.1st.
Let’s look at the Milwaukee-Boston game today and see what Vegas is thinking.
Milwaukee at Boston (-4.5): This is an interesting matchup between two very good teams. Milwaukee is trying to defend their title and they got off to a good start with an easy 4-1 series win over short-handed Chicago. But, in the process, they lost the services of second-leading scorer Khris Middleton, and that is going to be a factor against the Celtics. They have the required superstar, in Giannis Antetokounmpo, and have received solid performances from Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez as well. This is a proud team that is going to bring everything they have every night. Meanwhile, Boston swept a dangerous Brooklyn team in 4 straight. However, every game was close and the Celtics were able to make the plays down the stretch to win. They received outstanding play from Jayson Tatum (29 pts per game), Jaylen Brown (22.5 pts) Marcus Smart 16.5 pts. and 7 assists) and Al Horford (13 pts. and 8 rebounds). They were one of the best teams in the NBA and are 20-5 in their last 25 games.
But the two teams went 2-2 against each other and the line seems a bit much. I love the Celtics and I’m going to go with them to cover, but I’m staying away from betting this one because I could see the Bucks stealing this game. PAPA DUDES PICK: Boston -4.5
