Free NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 5/2/22

The last two semifinal matchups get underway tonight in Miami and Phoenix. It is going to be hard for either game to duplicate the Golden State-Memphis classic yesterday in Memphis. Let’s see what we can find to bet on.

We picked Golden State to cover the 2.5-pt. spread as our Best Bet, and even though they won, they failed to cover. I don’t get discouraged when I miss a game on a point spread that small. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 88-45 in 2022.

We went 1-1 betting the MoneyLine and our overall record stands at 463-229 since Jan.1st.

Let’s look at the Philadelphia-Miami game and see what we think for the the battle tonight.

Philadelphia at Miami (-7.5) : This is an interesting matchup between two very good teams with injuries they are dealing with. Philadelphia superstar, Joel Embiid was injured in the 4th quarter of Game 6 in Toronto, and has been ruled out of Games 1 and 2 in Miami. He suffered a mild concussion and a broken orbital bone in his face. There is hope that he might return for Game 3 or 4. His absence is a blow to the Sixers on offense, obviously, but it might even play a bigger factor on the defensive end. With him out of the lineup, Philly is going to need James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris to step up and fill some mighty big shoes. Meanwhile in Miami, the Heat aren’t exactly healthy either. Today, they listed 6 players as questionable for tonight’s game, and that doesn’t include point guard Kyle Lowry, who has been ruled out completely. I’m figuring the majority of those guys will play, but they are not going to be 100%. I expect the 76ers to come out and play very hard and give tremendous effort to overcome the loss of Embiid. And with Miami shorthanded as well, I think that line might be hard for the Heat to cover. I think Miami finds a way to win but I’m taking Philly and the points. PAPA DUDES BET: Philadelphia +7.5
