Free NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/28/22

Two more first round series were settled last night and we could wrap up an additional three today. We have three games sixes tonight in what promises to be another great night of NBA basketball, but a potential nightmare for prognosticators like me. All three of these games are going to be tricky and hard to figure out. We have two games is the Western Conference and one in the East.

We split our 2 Best Bets yesterday as Milwaukee thumped the Bulls 116-100 to cover and allow us a winning ticket, but Golden State wasn’t able to cover the 9-point spread in their 102-98 win over the Nuggets. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 87-44 in 2022.

We did have a good night betting the MoneyLine as we went 2-0 to raise our overall record to 461-228 since Jan.1st.

We hit a Parlay for the 4th time out of the last six nights, turning a $10 Bet into a Payout of $59.58.

Let’s look at the Philadelphia-Toronto game tonight and see what Vegas is thinking.

*PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Philadelphia (-1.5) at Toronto: Philadelphia leads the series 3-2: This has turned into the knock down, drag-out series we thought it would be. The 76ers won the first three games surprisingly, but Toronto has responded with two straight wins as the two teams head to Canada for game 6. Philadelphia is feeling the pressure of a potential disaster blowing a 3-0 lead, and the media is making a big deal of Coach Doc Rivers not being able to win close-out games of a series. His record is now 1-7 in potential game series ending games. I don’t buy into any of that crap. The bigger issue is the injury to Joel Embiid’s thumb and the continued bad play of James Harden. Philly has to somehow, tune out the media and just play basketball. On the other hand, Toronto is showing the toughness that they displayed down the stretch of the regular season. They won game 5 in Philadelphia without All-Star guard Fred Van Vleet in the lineup and will likely be without him again tonight. But Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. have picked up the slack and are playing really well. This is a difficult game to figure out. The 76ers are one of those teams that can step up and play a great game when you least expect them too. On the other hand, Toronto has the momentum and are going for the kill. It’s a flip a coin game. I took heads on Toronto and that’s what came up. PAPA DUDES PICK: Toronto +1.5
