Free NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/20/22

There are three more first round games in the NBA playoffs on the schedule for Wednesday.. All 3 contests will take place in the Eastern Conference as the West resumes tomorrow night.

We cashed both of out Best Bets yesterday as Miami outlasted the Hawks and the Grizzlies rebounded with an easy win over Minnesota in Game 2 of both series. That raised our Best Bet of the Day record to 80-37 in 2022.

We went 2-1 betting the MoneyLine after the Pelican’s shocking victory over Phoenix ruined a perfect night. Our overall record stands at 447-220 since Jan.1st.

Let’s check out the three games for tonight, even though I don’t have a good feeling on any of them.

*PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Brooklyn at Boston (-3.5): Boston leads the series 1-0: Game 1 was an epic battle between these two rivals, with the Celtics winning at the buzzer. It could just as easily have gone the other way. Brooklyn played very well and received 39 points from Kyrie Irving in the narrow loss. Kevin Durant added 23, but only shot 9 of 24 from the field. We can expect to see him shoot better tonight, but can Irving score 39 again? And, as usual, there are the distractions, that are always surrounding Irving, as he appeared to be raising the middle finger to the Boston crowd. One has to wonder if he is more trouble than he is worth. Meanwhile, Boston got the victory and they are letting the Nets get all the attention. They got 31 points from Jayson Tatum, 23 from Jaylen Brown, 20 points and 15 rebounds from Al Horford, and 20 points from Marcus Smart. This should be another back and forth battle tonight. I like the more professional Celtics to win. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Boston -3.5

*PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* Philadelphia (-2) at Toronto: Philadelphia leads the series 2-0: It’s do or die time for the Raptors. If they are going to make this any kind of a series, they have to win Game 3 tonight. Yes, they have legitimate excuses, with injuries and illness hampering three of their starters. But, they are hoping to have all of them back tonight, however Scottie Barnes will be a game-time decision. I’m looking for Toronto to throw everything they have at the Sixers to try and get back into the series. On the other hand, Philadelphia has been very impressive in the first two games and it is going to take a super effort to knock them off if they continue to play at this level. PAPA DUDES UPSET PICK: Raptors +2

Chicago at Milwaukee (-10) Milwaukee leads the series 1-0: The Bulls gave a good effort in Game 1 before coming up on the short end of a 93-86 score. I guarantee if you had told them, they would hold the Bucks to 93 points, they would have said we will win. That’s not what happened as they shot just 32% from the field and hit only 7 of 37 from behind the arc. Leading scorer, DeMar DeRozan was only 6 for 25 and he will shoot better tonight. However, the Bucks didn’t shoot worth a damn either, and they are likely to play better on the offensive end tonight. The Bulls blew a golden opportunity to snatch a win on the road and gain home court advantage. I’m going with the Bucks tonight. PAPA DUDES PICK: Milwaukee -10
