Free MLB National League Picks, Best Bets and Parlays for 6/6/22

Today we are going to take a shot at a couple of baseball games from the National League and see if we can get lucky with the National Pastime. Picking baseball games is tricky because so much depends on pitching and pitchers are as unpredictable as the weather. Let’s see if we can pick out a couple of winners for tonight.

Arizona Diamondbacks 26-29 at Cincinnati Reds 18-35: Arizona had a poor weekend in Pittsburgh as they managed only 1 run on Saturday and Sunday. They are taking on a Cincinnati team that has had woeful pitching all season long and their bats need to come alive in this series. The Diamondbacks will send out veteran lefty, Madison Bumgarner who has been pitching well as of late. His record doesn’t show it, as he is only 2-4, but he has a 3.31 ERA, and he gives Arizona an advantage tonight. Cincinnati will send out Hunter Greene who is 2-7 with a 6.19 ERA. He has shown the ability to strike batters out but once he gets into trouble he unravels rapidly. The value bet is on Arizona and I’m putting the money on the Diamondbacks in this one. New York Mets 37-19 at San Diego Padres 33-21: This is an early season matchup between two very good teams from opposite divisions. Both teams are solid and have excellent pitching. On paper, the Mets have the clear advantage in the pitching matchups for tonight. Right hander, Carlos Carrasco takes the mound with his 6-1 record and 3.63 ERA. Couple that with the fact the Padres struggle against righties and that gives the Mets an edge. San Diego pitcher Blake Snell, has started three games and has allowed 8 runs in only 15 innings, as he has had problems getting back to his late season form of a year ago.
