  • #2- ARIZONA 24-2: They should win two games on the road as they keep rolling. THIS WEEK: at Utah, at Colorado
  • #3- PURDUE 24-4: Great week for the Boilermakers. THIS WEEK: at Michigan State
  • #4- AUBURN 24-3: I’m not sure they talented team has enough coaching to get them very far. THIS WEEK: Mississippi, at Tennessee
  • #5- KENTUCKY 22-5: Disappointing loss at Tennessee slows down national championship talk. THIS WEEK: LSU, at Arkansas
  • #6- DUKE 23-4 : Two road games could be tough for the Blue Devils. THIS WEEK: at Virginia, at Syracuse
  • #7- KANSAS 22-4: Big game at Baylor to end the week. THIS WEEK: Kansas State, at Baylor

  • #2 PURDUE: The Boilermakers thumped a red-hot Rutgers team and are in the running for a #1 seed.
  • #3 VILLANOVA: The Wildcats are becoming a team that is going to be tough to beat.
  • #4 VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH: They are making a run in the Atlantic-10 and might get a NCAA tournament bid.
  • #5 IOWA: The Hawkeyes got two wins and are sitting at 18-8 in the very competitive Big Ten.
  • TOP 5 LOSERS OF THE WEEK:
  • #1 INDIANA: The Hoosiers lost two more games running their losing streak to four games. They need to right the ship.
  • #2 MICHIGAN STATE: Losses at lowly Penn State and at home against Illinois are damaging their seeding.
  • #3 TCU: The Horned Frogs were in the mix for the tournament but two losses last week have really hurt their chances.
  • #4 OREGON: An unexplainable loss at Arizona State followed by an expected loss to Arizona has greatly hurt their chances.
  • #5 JUWAN HOWARD AND GREG GARD: Both of these Big Ten coaches should be equally blamed for the altercation in Sunday’s game.
